Here’s a quick breakdown of everything you need to make this dish:

Getting the Ingredients

Unlike other recipes in the game that get introduced to you, you’re left to discover corndogs on your own. And this will only happen once you finally cook it.

To start, you need these ingredients:

Corn Flour Pork

Assuming you already have the needed buildings, these two ingredients should be easy to get.

If not, here’s what you need to do.

Step 1: Getting Pork

Let’s start with the pork. Assuming you already have Atul on your boat, then you should have been introduced to pork before, as it’s needed in making his favorite dish: pork chops.

If you need a primer then the easiest way to get pork is to buy it from one of the many Raccoon Inc. stores scattered across the map.

Pork is available in these locations for 150 Glim:

Furogawa (X: -150, Y: 67) Oxbury (X: 233, Y: 18) Nordweiler (X: -3, Y: 185)

If you’re in a hurry, then the easiest location to reach is Furogawa. Simply go to the island and walk until you find the Raccoon store.

Step 2: Getting Corn Flour

The next (and final) ingredient is corn flour, which can’t be bought anywhere and is only obtainable after a certain building is built.

That building is the Windmill, which is unlocked by the Craftsman Blueprint Station.

To get this upgrade, go ahead and proceed to Albert’s Shipyard in X: 61, Y: 64.

Then from the upgrade menu, locate the Craftsman upgrade, right beside the hobbyist upgrade in the blueprint station.

Here are the requirements you need to unlock it:

10 Oak Planks 10 Linen Threads 1,000 Glims

You can get oak planks by cutting down oak logs in the Sawmill, while the logs can be found by cutting trees Gurenu Fields (X: -65, Y: 55) or Iwashima Countryside (X: -64, Y: 16).

You can check out our guide on how to use the sawmill for a complete breakdown of how to use this building and maximize its mini-game for making different planks.

As for linen threads, they are made by weaving linen fiber at a Loom.

Meanwhile, linen fiber is grown from linen seeds planted in the garden, bought from Raccoon Inc. shops or found in floating crates. In this case you can look at our guide on how to use the loom for a more detailed write-up if you’re new to this aspect of the game.

Once you have the materials, purchase the blueprint upgrade from Albert to unlock three buildings: the orchard, sheep corral, and the windmill.

Building the windmill requires these materials:

16 Oak Planks 8 Marbles 5 Aluminum Ingots

Marbles are found by mining the nodes in Kalstein Mines (X: -99, Y: 117) and Southpoint Docks (X: 157, Y: 22). Out of these two locations, the former contains more nodes for mining.

On the other hand, aluminum ingots are made by melting aluminum ore in a Foundry. However, aluminum ingots can only be mined from an aluminum dragon.

To do this, you need to first pick up the spirit Summer in Hummingberg (X: 39, Y: 139). She will then tell Stella that her dreams are haunted by dragons that you have to defeat.

She will then introduce you to the Quartz Dragon, and eventually, the Aluminum Dragon.

The Aluminum Dragon is found at (X: -132, Y: 134) in the winter side of the Hummingberg Region, and needs the Icebreaker Boat Upgrade from Albert’s Shipyard.

As a primer, the Icebreaker upgrade requires these:

10 Iron Ingots 12 Oak Planks 18 Linen Fabrics 5 Slates 1 Spirit Flower 800 Glims

Once you have the upgrade, you can proceed to fight the aluminum dragon. If you’ve already beat the Quartz upgrade, then the mini-game is the same for this one.

After telling Summer to start the activity, the dragon will come out, and Stella will need to hop from place to place to mine the aluminum from its back.

Take this minigame slowly, as the dragon will give you ample time to mine each node from its back before moving to change positions. Just make sure you time your hits properly to mine as much aluminum as possible.

If you don’t want to do this mini-game over and over, then you can “plant” an aluminum piece at one of the Turtle Sisters. Just make sure you “plant” it again after mining the node to guarantee you don’t run out.

Then take the aluminum ore and melt it in the Foundry, where it will get turned into aluminum ingots.

Note: You can check out the Foundry (Minigame) section of our guide in how to get glass in Spiritfarer for a more in-depth breakdown of this.

Once you have the materials, you can proceed to build the Windmill.

Next, it’s time to get corn.

These are grown from corn seeds, which can be bought from the Raccoon stores in Hummingberg (X: 39, Y: 139) and Bottom Line Corp (X: 137, Y: 59). They’re priced at 60 Glims each.

If you’re lucky, you can also get corn seeds from the floating crates in the Hummingberg region.

Then plant the corn seeds in your field (assuming you already built one at this point) and water them until they can be harvested. You can also play the guitar to make the seeds grow faster.

But, just in case you don’t have a field yet, all it needs is:

15 Maple Logs 3 Limestones

After harvesting the corn, bring them over to the Windmill.

Arguably one of the trickier minigames, start by putting corn in the mid-level compartment. Then go to the top and interact with the column, seen as a square.

Move this square up or down until you see the little wheel spinning.

As long as that wheel is spinning, the windmill is grinding your corn. And all you need to do is adjust it accordingly to make sure it doesn’t stop.

After some time, you will be automatically taken off the column, and you can get your corn flour in the compartment.

How To Cook Your Corndogs

Finally, it’s time to cook corndogs.

You’ll need the upgraded kitchen for this section, which you should get easily as long as you follow Atul’s requests.

If you haven’t upgraded it yet, our guide on how to upgrade the kitchen should have everything you need.

Then simply cook the corn flour alongside the pork in the kitchen oven, and you should have corndogs in no time. Just make sure you don’t leave it in for too long so it doesn’t burn!
