In Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, leveling up your characters is essential to success. Here are a few tips on how to level them up quickly and efficiently.

  1. Start by leveling your main character first. This is the character you will use the most in the game and will have the most experience with. You should also level up any other characters that you may want to use in the future.
  2. Once your main character has levels 20-30, start leveling up your other characters as well. This will give them levels 30-40, 40-50, 50-60, and 60-70 respectively.
  3. Once all of your characters have levels 70 or higher, finish playing the game and check out our guide on how to get there!

It’ll give you benefits, such as:

Increased Inventory Space More Weapon Upgrade Stones Increased Farming Efficiency More Territe/Diamonds Increased Combat Power

In this guide, I’m going to show you how to create and switch between Alt Characters, how to level them up efficiently, and also go into more detail about the benefits of having them.

How To Create/Switch Alt Characters

You can create characters in the Character Selection screen shown every time you enter the game — as shown in the image below:

To switch between Characters while in-game, you must first access your Menu by clicking the top-right icon with three bars:

Then, with your Menu displayed, click the “Settings” icon at the bottom of your screen – it should look like a gear (see the image below):

You’ll then be taken to your Settings page — more specifically your Game Settings page.

Next, go to your Account Settings page by clicking the “Account” icon on the lower left-hand side of the Settings page:

Finally, to switch characters, just click on the “Select Character” button:

And you’re done!

You’ll then be redirected right back to your Character Selection screen where you’ll be able to swap out between your Main and Alt Characters accordingly.

How To Level Up Alt Characters

Main Story Quests

Alt Characters get an EXP Boost buff that allows them to farm EXP much faster than your Main Character.

To activate this buff, make sure your Alt Characters are at least ten levels lower than your Main Character.

At Levels 1 to 33, you’ll have a relatively easier time leveling up just by clearing Main Story Quests — especially Levels 1 to 20 which you can achieve within an hour at most.

Swift Solutions

Upon reaching Level 33, you’ll eventually hit the “wall” where you can’t level up reliably just by clearing Main Story Quests anymore.

This is why you’ll have to save up Swift Solutions for your Alt accounts, and not use them for your Main Account until your Alts get to the specific level you want.

Swift Solutions give Characters a ton of EXP upon completion.

In short, they will propel your Alt Character’s leveling efficiency when used — not to mention the rewards you get from them are shared so your Main Character will have access to them too!

AFK Farming

AFK Farming in the Chaos Field and the World Map is also another leveling method I’d like to recommend for Alt Characters.

Whether it be through AI Mode or manual AFK Farming, you’ll level up faster if you AFK Farm through your Alt Character often.

This is because of the EXP Boost your Alt Characters naturally get if they’re ten levels lower than your Main Character.

Benefits of Having Alt Characters

There are several benefits that you can get from creating and leveling up multiple Alt Characters — making them more or less necessary for all players.

Benefit #1: Increased Inventory Space

Increased inventory space is arguably the most important benefit of having multiple Alt Characters — especially if you’re F2P.

This is very important because without spending any money in the Shop for inventory slots, your quality of gameplay will be severely limited.

The number of extra inventory slots given to all of your characters after you level up an Alt Character to a certain level is as follows:

Benefit #2: More Weapon Upgrade Stones

Another great thing about leveling Alt Characters is that you get to go through the Main Story Quests from scratch.

This means that you get to farm Quest Completion rewards all over again — more notably the Weapon Upgrade Stones you get to claim after finishing certain Quests.

Weapon Upgrade Stones are highly valuable, and will be an important resource to have if you want to increase your main character’s Combat Power.

Benefit #3: Increased Farming Efficiency

Alt Characters will more often than not be stronger than your Main Character at the same level.

This means that your farming efficiency using Alt Characters will be higher — allowing you to kill off mobs at a much faster rate.

This is why you should consider using Alts when AFK farming. You can farm lower-level mobs and get the same drops you can farm on your main account, but way faster.

Benefit #4: More Territe/Diamonds

Territe and Diamonds are by far the hardest currencies to acquire in Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds.

Luckily, you can get more of them either as Quest Completion rewards, or as Account Bonus rewards from leveling up your Alt Characters!

The amount of additional Daily Territe Energy & Territe Energy Limit (not Territe) and Diamonds given to you after you level up an Alt Character to a certain level is as follows:

Benefit #5: Increased Combat Power

You can farm a decent amount of Combat Power for your Main Character if you level your Alt Characters up to certain levels.

They’ll come either as raw CP Boosts, Special Skill Boosts, or even from Weapon Chests given to you as Class Grade Rewards!

You can get the following CP Boosts just by leveling up an Alt Character to the following levels:

While this isn’t the most essential benefit of having an Alt Character, this is still a great bonus — especially if we consider how hard it is to increase your Main Character’s CP in the late game.

Leveling alt characters in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds can be a daunting task, but with a little bit of strategy and some help from the game, it’s possible to make your party as powerful as you want them to be. The first step is to make sure that you have the right characters for the job. For example, if you want to level up your healer, make sure that your other party members have enough HP and MP so that they can keep up. Likewise, if you want to level up your fighter, make sure that your other party members have enough Strength and Defense stats so that they can take hits. Once you know which characters are necessary for which tasks, it’s time to start leveling them up. The best way to do this is by using the skill points earned in battle. Each character has a certain number of skill points (which vary depending on their class), and these points can be used to upgrade specific skills. For example, a fighter might use his skill points to increase his attack power or his defense rating. Once all of your characters are at level 10 or higher, it’s time to start focusing on leveling alt characters. This is where things get a little more complicated; each character has different levels at which they become “fully leveled” (meaning they earn all of their skill points). To level an alt character up quickly, you need to find a task or location where he or she is weak and then use the skill points earned in battle to upgrade that character’s skills until he or she reaches the required level. ..
