If you’re using a Mac, there are a few ways to enable grayscale. The easiest way is to use the System Preferences application. In the System Preferences application, select the “Color” tab and then select “Grayscale.” The next step is to set the color depth. To do this, click on the “Color” tab and then select “RGB.” The next step is to set the gamma value. To do this, click on the “Gamma” tab and then select “2.” Finally, click on the “Save” button and then close System Preferences.

If you have poor or impaired vision, the grayscale feature can be particularly helpful. In this mode, you won’t be distracted by the colorful images on the Retina display, and therefore, have a more focused workspace.

Plus, if you pair grayscale with macOS Mojave’s dark mode, it’s even better!

You can switch to grayscale mode in System Preferences. Click the Apple button in the menu bar, and then select “System Preferences.”

Here, click “Accessibility.”

Next, click “Display” in the sidebar.

If your computer is running macOS Catalina or newer, click the “Color Filters” tab.

Next, select the “Grayscale” option from the “Filter Type:” drop-down menu, and then click the checkbox next to “Enable Color Filters” to enable it.

Your Mac display now switches to a black-and-white view.

If your machine runs macOS Mojave or earlier, the steps are slightly different. From the Display menu in Accessibility, click the checkbox next to the “Use Greyscale” option to enable it.
