There’s no doubt that Waifus are one of the funniest and most lovable characters in anime and manga. They’re always up for a good time, and they always seem to be able to make everyone laugh. But there’s also something about Waifus that makes them villains in some ways. They can be sneaky, they can be mean, and they can be downright evil. But in my next life as a Waifu, I’m going to be the one who is the villainess! Here’s why: first of all, Waifus are often the butt of jokes. They’re always being called “the little girl with the big mouth,” or “the girl with the big hair.” And while it’s true that some Waifus do have big hair, most of them have very small heads. So when someone makes a joke about my size, it really takes away from my character! Second of all, Waifus are often seen as objects by other characters. They’re not given much development or agency in many stories, and they’re usually just there to serve as comic relief or to make people laugh. But as a Villainess myself, I’ll use my powers for good instead of evil! I’ll take on tasks that will help others without anyone knowing (or caring), and I’ll even try to get along with other characters on occasion! So if you’re looking for a character who is both funny and mean-spirited, look no further than me – I’m the Villainess you’ve been looking for!

And god knows we already have enough of those going around.

However, through some S-class character writing, the show turned out quite amazing. And if we’re being honest, the waifu power levels this show boasts are just insane.

So that’s what we’re going to talk about today. Here are my top waifus from the show, and how I think they stack up against one another.

5. Anne Shelley

Anne is probably one of my favorite side characters of all time.

Being how goofy the main cast is, her deadpan reactions never fail to make me laugh. But she’s much more than just a “straight man character”.

You can see that she genuinely cares for Catarina and wants nothing but the best for her. Sure, a lot of the time she just acts as a normal maid (cleaning the room and making dinner) but she also acted like Catarina’s friend.

And once we got into her backstory, my love for Anne went through the roof.

The tragic upbringing plus wholesome conclusion combo is truly quite potent.

4. Maria Campbell

Maria was supposed to be the main character in this love drama – so it only stands to reason that she’s incredibly lovable.

In fact, she’s basically a saint throughout the entire series.

Her voice actress can cure my depression within seconds, her design is extremely cute, and her character is wholesome. What’s there not to love?

The only fault I really have with Maria is that she doesn’t take the central stage that often, so she feels slightly less fledged out than the rest of the cast.

But aside from that, she’s a tried-and-true waifu that would dominate most other shows.

3. Sophia Ascart

For the most part, Sophia has a very similar appeal to Maria.

She has an incredibly calming voice, an adorable design that reminds me of puffy sheep, and the personality of a saint.

However, I like her more than Maria because of two key things.

First off, she’s a bit braver in her approach. In fact, she even did the “wall slam” technique to Catarina at one point!

Secondly, her lore is more interesting. With it being hinted that she’s a reincarnation of Catarina’s friend from her past life – her character feels a lot more mystical.

2. Mary Hunt

I just love Mary.

The more the show goes on, the more unapologetically aggressive she is in her pursuit of Catarina. She started off by just dropping hints and then quickly transitioning to R-rated innuendoes.

And it’s honestly hilarious.

Obviously, she’s a really kind and caring person – but seeing how aggressively she pursues Catarina just makes for some great fun.

Plus, since both Sophia and Maria are on the dandere side of things, Mary feels a lot more unique. Overall, just a comedic goldmine and an S class waifu.

1. Catarina Claes

Catarina is probably the most believable harem protagonist I’ve seen in my entire life.

Even though the show goes rather wild (having all the men and women fall in love with her), I still find it believable.

That’s because Catarina simply is the perfect human.

She’s incredibly caring and treats everyone with love. Be it a stranger, her maid, or her adopted brother – you can count on Catarina to go above and beyond in order to make their life slightly better.

Plus, she’s hilarious. She doesn’t do it on purpose but her being denser than rocks just makes for some incredibly funny scenes. Especially when she tries to figure out how romance works.

Overall, I agree with every other character in this show. Catarina is just way too lovable and is by far the best waifu that the isekai world has seen.
